Lactate, VO2Max, RMR and fuelling plan for keen sportsmen and women
Service Description
This test is for keen sportsmen and women who want to optimise their training and nutrition. The full physiological profile combines lactate, VO2Max and RMR testing to give you an all round picture of your current performance. The session combines three tests and a body composition report. The RMR test is a 15 minute test which involves you sitting down and breathing into the metabolic cart to establish the calories you burn at rest. This enables us to put together a fuelling plan for your given sport. The lactate profile is a test that uses lactate to establish your thresholds. The lactate test involves a step test where every 3- 5 minutes the speed or watts will be increased and a small blood sample will be taken. This helps us better identify your lactate thresholds ( 1 and 2) to establish your training zones. After a 10 minute break, you will the complete a VO2Max test which is a short, intense ramp test to establish your VO2Max. You will also receive a full performance breakdown of your results and interval sessions based on your results. To cancel or reschedule your appointment, you will need to give us 24hrs notice for a full refund to to reschedule your appointment. If prior notice is not given before your appointment, then you will still be charged.
